One of the coolest parts of our job is to view and experience new and exciting products in the kitchen and bath industry. The annual Design + Construction Week, held in Las Vegas this year, included two big trade shows at one location....The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and The International Builders Show (IBS). This year's show was filled with innovative designs in hardware and accessories, new countertop colors and trends, bath suites, and of course the vast kitchen displays, showcasing that one appliance everyone has. The refrigerator.
Customizable doors and unique features were the common thread amongst the various mid to high end models. Homeowners are leaning towards cohesive design in regards to their kitchen space and the desire to "blend" appliances seamlessly into the design. Refrigerator door panels are easily matched to compliment and contrast the kitchen cabinets....grooved doors, woodgrain panels, high polished whites, and now an Ombre effect that truly creates a focal point.
Whatever the design aesthetic, homeowners are sure to find some creative ways to express their own "fashion sense" into the new kitchen space.
