Planning for an Efficient Kitchen

We’ve all been here. We’ve browsed for hours on Pinterest, clipped and saved those inspiration photos, only to forget to actually use them during the planning process for those new cabinets. As a cabinet supplier, it helps when our clients bring photos or saved images so that we can see where the design is headed. Unfortunately, one of the side-effects of “too much” inspiration, is a clouded vision and never-ending design changes. It’s easy to get caught up with all the pretty exterior details, but the interiors of the cabinets are just as important, if not, more!

Everyone wants an efficient kitchen, with everything in its place. When you think about your new design, have you thought about additional storage to make life easier? How do you want to store your cooking oils and spices? It should be near the cooking space and not on the other side of the kitchen. What about your pots and pans or small kitchen appliances? Are you using every corner of your kitchen? If you have a small space and not able to do a corner storage pullout, consider large, deep drawers for those pots/pans, storage containers, lids, etc. Don’t forget about the area under the sink. It’s the most cluttered “after-thought” but there are solutions. Cleaning caddies that pullout so you can take them around the kitchen or a simple roll-out drawer/shelf so you won’t need to climb into the cabinet to find things. Where do you plan to store the trash? There are options to have a trash pull-out to hide the trash in the cabinet, with choices of one bin or two (one for trash, other for recycle). Don’t forget about these simple ways to make life easier in your new space. We have many options for your organization needs.
